The debate started at 9PM and the first question Ron Paul was asked came at 9:31pm EST. An entire episode of Seinfeld could have been played (including commercials) and you wouldn’t have missed a single question to Ron Paul. This isn’t conspiracy theory, this is the fact. Mitt, McCain and Giuliani had spoken 3 times before Dr. Paul got one question.

It is whatever the candidates need it to be in the moment in order to appear "Presidential" and issue the proper soundbite. As usual, Paul's answers were the only ones that made sense and did not suffer from any inner contradiction.

Hannity & Colmes Denigrate Ron Paul's First Place in FOX News Post-Debate Poll
So now Fox News' - via Hannity and Colmes - joins ABC News in denigrating the results of its own post-debate polls. As of about 30 minutes ago, Ron Paul was in first place with 33% percent of respondents who said he won tonight's Republican Presidential debate in New Hampshire, broadcast on Fox News, with Rudy Giuliani in second place with 16% (in the final results, Mike Huckabee moved into second place, with 18% of respondents who said he won).

The biased moderators of Fox News asked what Ron Paul would do in the midst of the bloodbath that is certain to occur in Iraq if the United States was to leave. USAElectionPolls.com says that the wording of the question was biased.
When Ron Paul says that they do not want us in Iraq, the commentator asked Ron Paul if he plans on taking his marching orders from Al Qaeda and Ron Paul replies as strong as ever "No!". He goes on to state that he will take his marching orders from the Constitution.

Fox Lies
Alan Colmes and Sean Hannity just suggested that Ron Paul's lead is because "the Paulites keep re-dialing." Wrong answer. Their system won't let you vote more than once. I tried--just to see. Ron Paul showed the biggest gain from Grassfire’s May poll, rising from seventh position (6 percent) to a solid third position (13 percent) – a more than a 50 percent increase in support among grassroots conservatives. Proof: Fox News Censors Ron Paul
As we can see from the above table, the "fairest" coverages are from NYTimes, CBS News, and USAToday. Even though LA Times had a high ratio, if you were to exclude Rudy Giuliani from the group; it is actually pretty fair. The biggest culprit of fairness is Fox News. They refer to the top 3 candidates almost 5 times more than they refer to any of the other candidates. Mitt Romney was referenced 13,000 times on the FoxNews.com domain while Ron Paul has only been referenced 248 times. So for every 52.4 articles on Mitt Romney, there will only be one article on Ron Paul. That is absurd. On no other news source is the disparity as large as it is on Fox News.

In other words, the stock price of the Republican Party has plummeted. It is ripe for a hostile takeover. And the private equity firm leading the charge is the Ron Paul Revolution.
I have been to several Ron Paul meetups and observed something very interesting: few of the people there were registered Republicans. Most were unaffiliated, with a few Democrats thrown in. Scientific polls among “likely Republican primary voters” show very little support for Ron Paul, yet Paul wins most Internet and phone-in polls, has people show up by the thousand at his rallies, and has more money in the bank than John McCain.

Making the Maverick Mainstream: The Saga of Ron Paul
Paul is to be applauded for his commitment to limited government, the pro-life cause, and pro-family values. Paul's campaign notes that one of his Congressional colleagues once said, "Ron Paul personifies the Founding Fathers' ideal of the citizen-statesman. He makes it clear that his principles will never be compromised, and they never are."
It shouldn't be surprising that, in 1976, he was one of only a handful of Republican Congressmen to endorse Ronald Reagan for President.
Paul could conceivably claim the Reagan mantle—but to do it, he must appeal to a broad base. And that may require moving out of the maverick camp and into the mainstream.

Collapse of the GOP
So take notice GOP heads, the Ron Paul train is here not for a splash, but for the reckonin'. We will accept no other than Ron Paul....period! We can only hope that you will see that his concepts are accurate and join in. Many of you have kids and grandkids that have a right to the America we were promised, and our forefathers fought so hard to attain.
So, if he does not get the nomination, I believe it is time for the GOP to fold as there will be a mass exodus of its' members. There would be no reason to support a party that does not support its' members.

Policing Speech
Vincent asked that his last name not be used because he is still on active duty in the U.S Army, at Fort Hood. He served in Baghdad in 2005 and 2006, and is scheduled to be discharged in October. He supports Ron Paul because of the congressman’s anti-war stance.
“The officers don’t want to hear anything about how just about everyone serving in Iraq thinks this war is stupid and should have never been launched in the first place,” Vincent said, standing among the protesters. “But my fellow enlisted soldiers are getting tired of me talking about Ron Paul. Non-Voters Finally Have a Good Reason to Return to the Polls
Attention non-voters of all "parties". You folks have been given a bum rap for some time now even though you represent roughly half of the eligible voting population. Don't be ashamed. There is nothing wrong with not voting when you have nothing to vote for. In fact, it is more immoral to vote for a candidate you don't like because you think they are the lesser of two evils. In that case, you are voting for evil. So, to all of you who stay home on election day because you know your vote won't make a bit of difference, you are to be applauded. You send a message, that unless they give you someone to vote for, you will not volunteer to legitimize a fixed system: a system where the rich get richer and the rest of us get the shaft. Run Paul Run
This is a movement--the likes of which hasn't been seen for 30 years or so--many thousands and thousands of people (see this post) many of them under 30, but being supported by a bunch of "old folks" in their 40's, 50's 60's & 70's--,who will do just about anything for the cause of freedom (and this man who they see as the leader of that cause) in this country. Fort Worth Straw Poll
Yes Ranting, the Straw Poll was set up and as crooked as any political action I have seen in years, after 50 years of being a Republican I can honestly say I am ashamed of my association with that group. This Poll has all the earmarks of a Fascist Regime and a staged event to discredit only one man. Ron Paul. His people from San Antonio had registered online and gotten a receipt saying registration at 10 AM. The busload was there but the registrars grabed their paper work and left the tables at exactly 10 AM saying the registration ENDED at 10. They refused to allow that busload of folks into the voting area. YET... just a few moments later another group showed up that were not Paul supporters and were ushered in by the back door. Yes that was documented and photographed.

Straw polls and trickery
Did I miss something? Did Ron Paul give up his candidacy? No, I don’t think so. This is what we call a bogus straw poll. I only hope that this is not a sign of what is to come in the upcoming primaries. When we all vote for our candidates, it would be a shame to have to write in Paul’s name because it was not offered as a choice. At least it is an easy name to spell.

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – As Labor Day kicked off the traditional start of the presidential campaign season, the Ron Paul campaign passed an important milestone: 40,000 volunteers signed up through Meetup.com to help Dr. Paul. The Paul campaign has been widely recognized for its powerful presence on the internet.
The campaign leads all GOP candidates in every significant online metric including: website traffic, MySpace and Facebook friends, Eventful demands, YouTube subscribers and Google searches. That being said, Tex has posted a link to some Dennis Kucinich forum, where some Democrats are getting frustrated with Ron Paul's support among other Democrats. My favorite piece from the forum thread quoted: "Have you been to some of his supporting sites? Wow. I'm studying this and trying to figure a way to bring these democrats to Dennis Kucinich. He is Ron Paul on steriods. That's what I tell them anyway. My husband who always votes democrat is supporting Ron Paul. My mother...my sister...brother..friends....they all found Ron Paul. How can they not. We get Ron Paul emails that go around the web like a freakn' hurricane. I've had them forwarded to me."

The true frontrunner
It seems that every time the media mention presidential candidate Rep. Ron Paul, he is incorrectly labeled as a long-shot second-tier candidate, with little hope of winning. The facts do not support the opinion of the media.
Paul has finished in the top three in 16 straw polls held in states all across the country. He had five first-place finishes as well as five second-place finishes.

Ron Pual: Surrender Should Not Be an Option
In any case, we have achieved the goals specified in the initial authorization. Saddam Hussein has been removed. An elected government is now in place in Iraq that meets with US approval. The only weapon of mass destruction in Iraq is our military presence. Why are we still over there? Conventional wisdom would dictate that when the "mission is accomplished", the victor goes home, and that is not considered a retreat.

Why is Ron Paul a contender at only three percent? Polls tell us something real but not all that is real. Ron consistently surpasses that number in straw polls and online polls. Both measure a critical factor in the primaries and caucuses that "scientific" polls miss: intensity of support. He draws the largest crowds of any Republican. He is the only Republican candidate who generates actual enthusiasm. Much of the poll strength of the other four is based on name recognition and money. Their significance will fade over time as Ron’s name recognition and treasury grow and their treasuries empty.

Ron Paul and the Empire of Experts
Worse than any war – which must at some point end – is the ideology
that makes for war.
For that can go on forever. That tells us that "what is" is also "what must be." You see, empires are made for experts as experts are made for empires. Texas Republican Party Shoots Itself in the Foot
Delegates from out of town faced another hurdle to showing their support for the candidate of their choice -- a 10 AM lockout policy, one that was not clearly communicated, according to several accounts. Even after paying the seventy-five dollar admission fee, waking up early and driving for half the day, potential delegates were turned away at the door, including a bus load of Paul supporters from San Antonio. Keep in mind that the delegates turned away were upstanding members of the state party.

Texas Governor Dissed Ron Paul
On Saturday, I wrote that Texas Republican Governor Rick Perry reportedly dissed Texas Republican Congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul at the Texas GOP straw poll. It’s no longer an unconfirmed report from the field; according to this YouTube (at 3:05), it’s a fact. Here’s the quote:
“Ladies and gentlemen, we may not have a Texan on the ballot, but we cannot have another Clinton in the White House.”
The last time I checked, Dr. Paul is a ten term Texas Republican Congressman. He received a healthy sixty percent of the vote last election cycle, when Tom DeLay’s old district right next door went to Democrat Nick Lampson. One might think Governor Perry would have remembered him.

The Ghosts Inside the Machine
There is a machine operating behind it all in America. It drives policy and outcomes. It drives legislation and the continued deterioration of culture and society. It buys what, and who it needs to ensure that it continues to be fed. It exists for the sole purpose of its continued existence and power. It absolutely owns the mainstream media and wields it masterfully as a weapon of mass distraction and destruction. It desires that America continue down the path of least resistance. It requires the people to care more about who won the last American Idol than who won their last Congressional race. It requires that 50% of the people do not even bother to vote for the very elected officials that will shape and decide their futures. We use terms like “corporate media” and “part of the machine” when discussing political matters but rarely do we truly examine what these terms mean. That is how the machine wants it and too often we play right along.

Hannity & Colmes Denigrate Ron Paul's First Place in FOX News Post-Debate Poll
So now Fox News' - via Hannity and Colmes - joins ABC News in denigrating the results of its own post-debate polls. As of about 30 minutes ago, Ron Paul was in first place with 33% percent of respondents who said he won tonight's Republican Presidential debate in New Hampshire, broadcast on Fox News, with Rudy Giuliani in second place with 16% (in the final results, Mike Huckabee moved into second place, with 18% of respondents who said he won).

Alan Colmes and Sean Hannity just suggested that Ron Paul's lead is because "the Paulites keep re-dialing." Wrong answer. Their system won't let you vote more than once. I tried--just to see. Proof: Fox News Censors Ron Paul
As we can see from the above table, the "fairest" coverages are from NYTimes, CBS News, and USAToday. Even though LA Times had a high ratio, if you were to exclude Rudy Giuliani from the group; it is actually pretty fair. The biggest culprit of fairness is Fox News. They refer to the top 3 candidates almost 5 times more than they refer to any of the other candidates. Mitt Romney was referenced 13,000 times on the FoxNews.com domain while Ron Paul has only been referenced 248 times. So for every 52.4 articles on Mitt Romney, there will only be one article on Ron Paul. That is absurd. On no other news source is the disparity as large as it is on Fox News.

I have been to several Ron Paul meetups and observed something very interesting: few of the people there were registered Republicans. Most were unaffiliated, with a few Democrats thrown in. Scientific polls among “likely Republican primary voters” show very little support for Ron Paul, yet Paul wins most Internet and phone-in polls, has people show up by the thousand at his rallies, and has more money in the bank than John McCain.

Making the Maverick Mainstream: The Saga of Ron Paul
Paul is to be applauded for his commitment to limited government, the pro-life cause, and pro-family values. Paul's campaign notes that one of his Congressional colleagues once said, "Ron Paul personifies the Founding Fathers' ideal of the citizen-statesman. He makes it clear that his principles will never be compromised, and they never are."
It shouldn't be surprising that, in 1976, he was one of only a handful of Republican Congressmen to endorse Ronald Reagan for President.
Paul could conceivably claim the Reagan mantle—but to do it, he must appeal to a broad base. And that may require moving out of the maverick camp and into the mainstream.

So take notice GOP heads, the Ron Paul train is here not for a splash, but for the reckonin'. We will accept no other than Ron Paul....period! We can only hope that you will see that his concepts are accurate and join in. Many of you have kids and grandkids that have a right to the America we were promised, and our forefathers fought so hard to attain.
So, if he does not get the nomination, I believe it is time for the GOP to fold as there will be a mass exodus of its' members. There would be no reason to support a party that does not support its' members.

Policing Speech
Vincent asked that his last name not be used because he is still on active duty in the U.S Army, at Fort Hood. He served in Baghdad in 2005 and 2006, and is scheduled to be discharged in October. He supports Ron Paul because of the congressman’s anti-war stance.

Non-Voters Finally Have a Good Reason to Return to the Polls
Attention non-voters of all "parties". You folks have been given a bum rap for some time now even though you represent roughly half of the eligible voting population. Don't be ashamed. There is nothing wrong with not voting when you have nothing to vote for. In fact, it is more immoral to vote for a candidate you don't like because you think they are the lesser of two evils. In that case, you are voting for evil. So, to all of you who stay home on election day because you know your vote won't make a bit of difference, you are to be applauded. Run Paul Run
This is a movement--the likes of which hasn't been seen for 30 years or so--many thousands and thousands of people (see this post) many of them under 30, but being supported by a bunch of "old folks" in their 40's, 50's 60's & 70's--,who will do just about anything for the cause of freedom (and this man who they see as the leader of that cause) in this country. Fort Worth Straw Poll
Yes Ranting, the Straw Poll was set up and as crooked as any political action I have seen in years, after 50 years of being a Republican I can honestly say I am ashamed of my association with that group. This Poll has all the earmarks of a Fascist Regime and a staged event to discredit only one man. Ron Paul. His people from San Antonio had registered online and gotten a receipt saying registration at 10 AM. The busload was there but the registrars grabed their paper work and left the tables at exactly 10 AM saying the registration ENDED at 10. They refused to allow that busload of folks into the voting area. YET... just a few moments later another group showed up that were not Paul supporters and were ushered in by the back door. Yes that was documented and photographed.

Did I miss something? Did Ron Paul give up his candidacy? No, I don’t think so. This is what we call a bogus straw poll. I only hope that this is not a sign of what is to come in the upcoming primaries. When we all vote for our candidates, it would be a shame to have to write in Paul’s name because it was not offered as a choice. At least it is an easy name to spell.

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – As Labor Day kicked off the traditional start of the presidential campaign season, the Ron Paul campaign passed an important milestone: 40,000 volunteers signed up through Meetup.com to help Dr. Paul. The Paul campaign has been widely recognized for its powerful presence on the internet.

That being said, Tex has posted a link to some Dennis Kucinich forum, where some Democrats are getting frustrated with Ron Paul's support among other Democrats. My favorite piece from the forum thread quoted: "Have you been to some of his supporting sites? Wow. I'm studying this and trying to figure a way to bring these democrats to Dennis Kucinich. He is Ron Paul on steriods. That's what I tell them anyway. My husband who always votes democrat is supporting Ron Paul. My mother...my sister...brother..friends....they all found Ron Paul. The true frontrunner
It seems that every time the media mention presidential candidate Rep. Ron Paul, he is incorrectly labeled as a long-shot second-tier candidate, with little hope of winning. The facts do not support the opinion of the media.
Paul has finished in the top three in 16 straw polls held in states all across the country. He had five first-place finishes as well as five second-place finishes.

Ron Pual: Surrender Should Not Be an Option
In any case, we have achieved the goals specified in the initial authorization. Saddam Hussein has been removed. An elected government is now in place in Iraq that meets with US approval. The only weapon of mass destruction in Iraq is our military presence. Why are we still over there? Conventional wisdom would dictate that when the "mission is accomplished", the victor goes home, and that is not considered a retreat.

Why is Ron Paul a contender at only three percent? Polls tell us something real but not all that is real. Ron consistently surpasses that number in straw polls and online polls. Both measure a critical factor in the primaries and caucuses that "scientific" polls miss: intensity of support. He draws the largest crowds of any Republican. He is the only Republican candidate who generates actual enthusiasm. Much of the poll strength of the other four is based on name recognition and money. Their significance will fade over time as Ron’s name recognition and treasury grow and their treasuries empty.

Ron Paul and the Empire of Experts
Worse than any war – which must at some point end – is the ideology
that makes for war.
For that can go on forever. That tells us that "what is" is also "what must be." You see, empires are made for experts as experts are made for empires. Even after paying the seventy-five dollar admission fee, waking up early and driving for half the day, potential delegates were turned away at the door, including a bus load of Paul supporters from San Antonio. Keep in mind that the delegates turned away were upstanding members of the state party.

Texas Governor Dissed Ron Paul
On Saturday, I wrote that Texas Republican Governor Rick Perry reportedly dissed Texas Republican Congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul at the Texas GOP straw poll. It’s no longer an unconfirmed report from the field; according to this YouTube (at 3:05), it’s a fact. Here’s the quote:
“Ladies and gentlemen, we may not have a Texan on the ballot, but we cannot have another Clinton in the White House.”
The last time I checked, Dr. Paul is a ten term Texas Republican Congressman. He received a healthy sixty percent of the vote last election cycle, when Tom DeLay’s old district right next door went to Democrat Nick Lampson. One might think Governor Perry would have remembered him.

120+ Ron Paul Patriots in the LARGEST EVENT IN FLORIDA, YET!!!
What a great way to celebrate Labor Day!!! We were in a parade and had a picnic in Southwest Florida. Englewood in Sarasota County had OVER 120 Ron Paul Patriots!!! We had people in the parade, at a booth, and at the picnic area. A HUGE THANKS to Woody, the organizer and everyone who came.

The Difference Between Fred Thompson & Ron Paul
Fred Thompson, when asked in 1984 why he declined to give up his Hollywood job and enter the Senate, told the Washington Post:
"The hassle factor is up, and the pay is not."
Thompson eventually did enter the Congress for a few years, and he managed to parlay it into a comfy job as a high-dollar lobbyist for special interests like a pro-abortion group and communist dictator Jean-Bertrand Aristide.
Contrast that to Ron Paul, who in ten terms in Congress has never voted to raise congressional pay. In a speech before the House of Representatives*, Congressman Paul had this to say about his reason for giving up his lucrative medical practice to return to Washington:

The Ghosts Inside the Machine
There is a machine operating behind it all in America. It drives policy and outcomes. It drives legislation and the continued deterioration of culture and society. It buys what, and who it needs to ensure that it continues to be fed. It exists for the sole purpose of its continued existence and power. It absolutely owns the mainstream media and wields it masterfully as a weapon of mass distraction and destruction. It desires that America continue down the path of least resistance. It requires the people to care more about who won the last American Idol than who won their last Congressional race. It requires that 50% of the people do not even bother to vote for the very elected officials that will shape and decide their futures. We use terms like “corporate media” and “part of the machine” when discussing political matters but rarely do we truly examine what these terms mean. That is how the machine wants it and too often we play right along.
